Parish News

Dear St. John the Baptist Families,

At last Tuesday’s meeting many of you came up to me and asked how you can help with the preparation of the school building for Catholic Schools Week.  Below is a list of tasks we have identified as requiring immediate attention.  We ask you to help us accomplish these tasks over the next 2 weeks.  Please call the school or email Mrs. Kaucher (Parish School Secretary) at volunteer@stjohnsottsville.org  if you can volunteer some time or donate the needed materials.

·        Paint both the boy’s & girl’s bathrooms (this includes some decorative designs/murals)

·        Paint the trim around all the doors in both the upper and lower wings

·        Paint the Kindergarten room (Miss McVaugh will pick the colors today)

·        Paint assorted pieces of trim in the front hallway and library

We are also asking for anyone who is a qualified Mason to help Tom evaluate the exterior wall of the Library/Computer Lab.  We would like to begin the process of fixing it.

In addition, new contact information that was promised at Tuesday’s meeting is listed below and can be found at www.sjbsottsville.org or www.stjohnsottsville.org.

Thank you very much.

Yours truly,

Cathy Capozzi
